Her research has included work on stress in nursing and practice nursing roles but now focuses largely on nursing practice in the care of older people. Sue Davies worked as a health visitor and as a senior nurse within a unit providing services for older people in London before moving into higher education. Her current research interests focus upon the needs of older people in care homes and the development of conceptual and theoretical frameworks to inform practice with older people in a range of care settings. Claire Ferguson is a research associate currently working on the AGEIN Project. Previous to this she worked in the area of palliative care. Her research interest lies in the area of informal carers and she is currently working on the use of a narrative approach to research …
